This is a camera based scanner which dramatically speeds up page scanning.

Rather than place a document on the scanner and watch as is slowly scans each page, both of the aforementioned scanners take a picture of the document, which speeds up the process dramatically.

The MCS 300 and MC500 scanners have LED lights.

As a result, all scanned documents are bright, crisp and clear and with no shadows.
